Indonesia Exports 329 Healthcare Workers to Meet Germany’s Demand
Indonesia Sends 329 Healthcare Workers to Germany Under ‘Triple Win’ Program
Jakarta – Indonesia has deployed 329 healthcare workers to Germany under the bilateral Triple Win program, Foreign Minister Sugiono announced on Wednesday.
The initiative, carried out through a government-to-government (G-to-G) scheme between Indonesia’s Agency for the Protection of Migrant Workers (BP2MI) and Germany’s Federal Employment Agency (BA), aims to address labor shortages while expanding opportunities for Indonesian professionals abroad.
Sugiono said the program’s success has encouraged the government to explore new opportunities for Indonesian migrant workers in other sectors, including hospitality.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, who was in Jakarta for his first official visit to Asia, reaffirmed Berlin’s commitment to support the program through comprehensive language training for Indonesian candidates.
The two ministers also discussed easing visa procedures for students, tourists, diplomats, and holders of service passports, underscoring efforts to strengthen strategic ties across multiple sectors.
“With the opportunities ahead, we are confident that Indonesia–Germany cooperation will grow even stronger,” Sugiono said.
Wadephul’s visit marks the first by a German foreign minister to Indonesia since he took office, highlighting Jakarta’s importance in Berlin’s Asia policy.
